Hobart City
Only seven minutes from Lincoln Green, tucked between Mt Wellington and the River Derwent 12 miles (20km) upstream of the river mouth, Hobart is the capital of Tasmania, and boasts one of the world's most scenic deepwater harbours. The city is the essence of Australia's only island state and represents the fountainhead of Australia's settlement. It was established in 1804 and is saturated in colonial history.
Salamanca Market
Salamanca Market takes place in Hobart every Saturday between 8.30am and 3pm. Again only minutes from Lincoln Green, at Hobart’s signature outdoor market you’ll join the locals for a shopping experience with a difference. Salamanca Market is one of those special places where you actually meet the people who create, make or grow what they sell.
Tasmanian Distillery and Museum
Watch and learn the distilling process in the old Hobart Gasworks building, meet the distillers & learn the history of distilling. Take a museum tour or stock up on delicious spirits at distillery-door prices such as Sullivans Cove Whisky. It's a great drop!
The Cascade Brewery
Cascade Brewery is Australia's oldest continuously operating brewery. Set in the rolling hills of South Hobart and only 15 minutes from Lincoln Green, the historic brewery is set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Wellington. The brewery is of great interest to beer lovers, connoisseurs, heritage buffs and is a must see for any visitor to Tasmania.
Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery
See the best of contemporary design in the displays at this museum in the centre of Hobart.
Penitentiary Chapel Historic Site
Georgian ecclesiastical architecture, former chapel and criminal court, has underground passages, solitary cells and an execution yard, day and evening tours available.
Narryna Heritage Museum
The museum is housed in one of Hobarts earliest Colonial Homes (1836). It has a nationally significant collection of furniture, china, silver, paintings and examples of fine arts.

Tasmanias biggest undercover market. New and second hand stalls.
Australian Wooden Boat Festival
Bi-annually on Hobart’s historic waterfront, hundreds of wooden boats pack Constitution Dock and Sullivans Cove for the internationally renowned Festival, held over three days in early February, with visitors from around Australia and overseas.
Moorilla Estate
Hobart's vineyard in the city - on the banks of the Derwent River, cellar door, restaurant, concerts and one day a year the public is invited to help with the harvest.
Tasmanian Transport Museum
Restored station museum, displays relics, photographs of the history of Tasmanian railways. Steam locomotives, operational diesel-electric locomotives, operational diesel rail cars, carriages, goods wagons, tram cars & Hobart trolley buses. Train rides on a diesel railcar run the first Sunday each month, vintage steam locomotive runs on the third Sunday of the month.

Cadbury's Chocolate Factory
This tasty attraction is located only 15 minutes outside of Hobart. It is open Mon-Fri, for various tours, ranging from boat cruises to drive yourself tours. This is an excellent outing for chocoholics and families alike.
Old Hobart Town Model Village, Richmond
The Old Hobart Town Model Village is a model replica of Hobart in 1820.
Travel forty minutes from Lincoln Green via the spectacular wine growning Coalriver Valley to see how the sailors, officers, free settlers and convicts of colonial Hobart Town lived and learn about this fascinating chapter in Hobart’s and Tasmania’s early history. There is even an eye spy competition in which you are challenged to find residents of Old Hobart Town. Hours of fun!

The Port Arthur Historic Experience
Ninety minutes south of Lincoln Green, Port Arthur is one of Australia's most famous tourism destinations. Every building, every feature of Port Arthur Historic Site has a story to tell. Created with convict labour, the impressive architecture, delightful gardens and chilling prison facilities survive today for you to explore.
Tasman Island - Wild and Rugged
Treat yourself to the real wild life educational experience aboard the "Encounter", a 12.6m double deck Eco adventure vessel. From the moment the tour begins, your senses are bombarded with the sights, sounds and smells of this spectacular slice of Tasmania. Marine animals (Seals, dolphins and Fairy Penguins), pelagic seabirds (Albatross and shearwaters) abound this nutrient rich eco system, feasting on the smorgasbord this area provides.
Hastings Caves and Thermal Pool
A couple of hours pleasant and very scenic drive from Lincoln Green, The Hastings Caves State Reserve offers you a variety of experiences, from relaxing in the warm waters of a thermal springs pool, walking in the rich forests of the reserve and, of course, the truly spectacular experience of exploring Newdegate Cave.
The Tahune Forest Reserve AirWalk
This beautiful reserve on the banks of the mighty Huon River is now the home of the popular Tahune Forest AirWalk, two huge swinging bridges and visitor centre. A great place to experience Tasmania's lush forests, it is also a popular place to picnic in one of the many shelters or tables, while cooking lunch on gas barbecues.
